People with disabilities still have a hard time in the regular labour market.
At SuS, we want to help people with impairments to experience success at work, to expand their skills and to pursue an activity that is fun and fulfilling.
That is why we work closely with the Lebenshilfen. Lebenshilfe is one of the most important self-help and professional organisations in the region, whose impulses and offers enable people with impairments to realise their right to self-determined participation. Attractive jobs are arranged here, regardless of impairment.
Recycling
Every year, 32 million tonnes of plastic end up in the environment worldwide, an estimated 5 to 13 million tonnes of which find their way into the world's oceans. If this continues, there will be more plastic than fish swimming in the oceans by 2050, according to European Union scientists.
Upcycling is a form of reuse (recycling) of materials: Seemingly useless waste products are processed into new, high-quality products.
This saves energy and natural resources and has an individual touch per se.
For our products, we only use first-class used materials such as canvas, fire hoses, awning fabrics or PET bottles that would otherwise be disposed of. All our materials are carefully checked, sorted out and cleaned several times before we put them into production.
To find more fabrics for upcycling, we work closely with material researchers.
